Verdict

Last year's winner was drawn on the wide outside though it was good going and soft conditions generally mean a low draw is more acceptable. That could rule out Cruise Tothelimit, who hasn't won for two years and has failed to take advantage of this mark in his last three starts. CAPTAIN SCOOBY is having his 168th start and attempting to win for the 16th time. He's best on ground with some give these days so conditions should be in his favour and he's well enough handicapped to go in again. The three-year-old Lady Wootton has never won, though she stumbled at the start last time while Shesnotforturning has shown nothing in four starts since landing a maiden over the track and trip last July. It's a year since Rock Canyon won but he's still higher in the ratings while Keene's Pointe appears to be suited by quicker ground.
