      Verdict

      RAYMOND TUSK found life tough behind Roaring Lion in the Eclipse at Sandown last time but has leading claims on these terms. Richard Hannon’s colt is preferred to Mark Johnston’s duo with the progressive handicapper Ventura Knight making more appeal than stablemate Austrian School. Shailene won a novice race by six lengths at Chelmsford and is worth a try at this level but Vera Drake has it all to do at the weights.
