    Verdict

Happy Anniversary proved herself capable of handling testing conditions when finishing second at Nottingham last time in a nursery and can do the business back in maiden company and against her own sex. She had displayed plenty of promise on quicker surfaces prior to that outing. Hameildaeme takes a step back in trip here having found one too good on her first attempt at seven furlongs last time. She was not stopping through that final furlong, the front two drawing well clear of the remainder so stamina will not be an issue although her effectiveness on the ground is the unknown. Positivity has lived up to her name by showing good speed in her two outings over the minimum trip. Riotista, the winner of the contest in which she finished third last time, went on to run creditably in a listed contest at Newbury on Friday. Miss Scarlet has not attracted any market support in her two starts but has shown enough promise to suggest a nursery may come her way. Happy Anniversary can land the opener and continue the good run being enjoyed by the Vicky Haigh yard.
