        Verdict

        Kindling, Kirkhammerton and Woodford Consult are all shortlisted in this wide open handicap and the vote is given to Kindling. The selection did have the run of the race at Ripon last time when getting narrowly beaten by Richtee, but she showed a really good attitude that day and she looks a filly to stay on the right side of. Kirkhammerton won well in this grade last time when beating Glorious Westport but that was his first success at the 12th time of asking and although he is clearly improving he can't be backed with any confidence. Woodford Consult lost no caste in defeat behind Detroit City over 1m6f at Nottingham last time. She had previously won well over this trip when beating Degree of Honour. She hails from a shrewd yard and if the market speaks in her favour then it could pay to take the hint. Golden Gate was a fair third behind Gurrun at Brighton last time and is another to consider, but for the winner we will return to Kindling.
