Verdict

Axe Axelrod is a newcomer of interest for the Fahey yard which is enjoying a fruitful season as usual with juveniles. The market should reflect stable confidence but he does have a couple of experienced youngsters to overcome. Both have been placed behind horses who went on to run very well at the Royal meeting last week and PORT OF LEITH receives a narrow vote. He ran well here second time up when a close second to Yousini and a repeat might just suffice. Howzer Black also went nicely here last time but faces very different ground conditions now, hence the decision to go along with the Johnston inmate. Lady Steps may need the run.
