Verdict

Tectonic followed a narrow victory at Carlisle with a slightly unlucky run in a handicap here last week though he may not be up to beating stablemate Beautiful Stranger who ran on successive days at Ayr's Gold Cup meeting, finishing a good third over 7f before scoring over today's trip with a bit in hand. The 4lb rise may not be a problem and although he lined up at Musselburgh yesterday, he's shown he can handle a quick return to the track. QUEENS PARK hadn't shown much on soft ground in the spring but reappeared to land a Carlisle maiden in good style before just failing to last out 1m2f at Beverley where she was caught close home. She's progressing well and though 6lb higher can get back to winning ways. Paddy's Rock has to be a major threat after following his victory in a Beverley handicap with another over this track and trip four days later. He's been raised a further 5lb but his young rider's claim wipes that out and he'll make a strong bid for a hat-trick.
