In depth
Verdict
Ruth Carr has booked experienced amateurs for her two runners. Pat Millman will fancy his chances on Cosmic Chatter, a staying-on fourth last time at Catterick, but William Easterby’s mount VALLARTA is something of a standing dish here and the nine-year-old is now 16lb lower than when winning at Catterick under a year ago. Burmese Blazer has been dropped 2lb since third over track and trip a week ago and Gilmer likes it here so can’t be ignored.
