Verdict

Honorah and Wiganese will need to improve on efforts to date against some fair juveniles, of which POPPY PETAL is just preferred. An easy winner on the soft in May, she understandably found life tough when sent to Royal Ascot for the Queen Mary Stakes but sets the standard now returned to nursery company. She is unproven on the forecast good to firm ground but is taken to concede 4lb to I'm A Gambler who has perhaps not progressed as well as expected after a very promising Yarmouth debut. Shaladar has shown a fair level of ability without looking like winning but now has a first start since being gelded.
