    Verdict

Final Liberation was a disappointing favourite at Kempton on Wednesday when not getting his own way in front. Better is expected from Sir Mark Prescott's charge if allowed to dominate here, but HAL OF A LOVER is preferred. He's shown recent improvement for being stepped up in trip and hasn't been overly punished by the handicapper for a convincing Beverley success last time. He's the value option. Tidal Run will contend if handling the increase in distance, whilst Veloce could upstage them all if his effort behind Eternal Heart at Sandown can be taken literally, although the jury remains out on that one.
