In depth
Verdict
Dark Angel is known as a sire of top sprinters but plenty of his progeny have stayed a mile and further. His son SCOTS GOLD is out of a Group 3 winner over 1m2f so this looks an excellent starting point. Rival is the first foal to race of a Listed winner over 1m6f and Forest Falcon will definitely stay further than this but will know what’s required. Meritorious has a soft-ground pedigree so warrants close inspection while William Bligh and Lightning War have had the benefit of experience, though this could be a hot contest.
