      Verdict

Not lots for us to go on here and the booking of A P McCoy on Circumspect may be significant, so we'll take a chance on him to be too good for Truckle, Rossin Gold and Orki Des Aigles. The selection was not fully wound up when beaten in a race won by stablemate The Pen at Wetherby first time, and improved a bit to finish third behind Finland here last time. That rival put up a good display in a decent juvenile contest at Wetherby last weekend, and so on a line through that, Circumspect looks the one to beat with McCoy up. Truckle has not run since Cartmel in August, when behind the winner of that Saturday race, Aviation. If he can improve on that 24 length defeat on this softer ground, which is not certain, then he could finish closer today. Rossin Gold is fit from the flat and comes from a capable yard. He'll be well schooled and if he jumps hurdles well then he can get involved, while it's difficult to assess Orki Des Aigles on his French form, but he has hurdling experience, handles bottomless ground, and if he's straight enough first time then he could trouble our selection, which is Circumspect.
