THE GOLDEN CUE returned to winning ways at Ripon a fortnight ago. He’s 2lb higher today but was winning off much higher marks last year and can go in again. Madrinho ended a long losing run with a victory at Chepstow last time though was beaten by Redrosezorro at Carlisle last term and the latter found only one too good at Doncaster earlier in the week. Both Peachey Carnehan and Sharrabang won over today’s trip before struggling off higher marks over 7f.
