        Verdict

        Billy Roberts has been knocking on the door for some time and his jockey bids for a first success in Britain under Rules. Dandy's Angel finished third of six at Pontefract earlier in the week but WILD THUNDER has the services of Serena Brotherton tonight and the veteran rider won comfortably aboard the five-year-old at Nottingham earlier. Jackhammer took advantage of some lenient handicapping to pick up a couple of hurdling prizes and excelled himself on the Flat when landing the Consolation race for the Carlisle Bell while Sameem doesn’t always find quite as much as anticipated.
