In depth

Verdict

REFECTORY is the one to beat in the closing event. He was well clear of the rest of the field when a close-up third over today's trip at Newmarket and should have no trouble opening his account if running up to the same level. Copybook was beaten a lot further when third on his racecourse debut but is expected to improve while Lineman had shown some promise on his introduction at Tipperary in June and has joined a new yard since. The remainder are hard to fancy though Caledonia will appreciate the return to a longer distance.
