In depth

Verdict

Inventor is taken to land this handicap at the expense of Woodcutter and Meshtri. The selection is now nine pounds higher since winning here over a mile and a half and steps up in trip here which ought to suit. This does look like his stiffest task to date but he is still improving and if reproducing his recent form he should go close once again. Woodcutter broke his maiden tag fourth time of asking at Newmarket. He is another that still looks on the up grade so any market moves should be noted. While Meshtri is another to note after showing a decent level of form this season. He improved from his debut to score here last time out and he is another to add to the short list. But for the winner we return to Inventor.
