In depth
Formwatch
Harmonic Way Generally in good form and is a most reliable character, came fourth in this last year and sure to get the strong pace he needs however, recent showers have turned the ground against him.
Kier Park (IRE) Showed great promise as a juvenile, but returned with a split pastern after running a close second to Pipalong in the Palace House Stakes on his only appearance last term. Now fully recovered and running well enough to take his chance but may have to settle for a minor role.
Lincoln Dancer (IRE) Yet to fulfil his true potential, but he has displayed a liking for this track and has conditions to suit and should give a good account of himself.
Monkston Point (IRE) Ran well on faster ground than ideal last time at Windsor and the more rain the better for him, but seems to have each-way claims at best.
Mount Abu (IRE) Won a seven furlong event at this course back in June, but has a little to prove at this trip on softer than ideal conditions.
Mull Of Kintyre (USA) Recovered from a pedal bone injury well, but although he has run with credit in his three outings this term , he would appear to have a bit to find with his stablemate, Minardi.
Nuclear Debate (USA) Has tremendous acceleration and should handle the under-foot conditions, the slight doubts about the trip are eased somewhat if judged on his efforts in Dubai back in May when he finished fourth behind Caller One in a six furlong Group 3, when Three Points and Pipalong both finished well down the field. He demonstrated his well being when finishing two lengths behind Mozart in the Nunthorpe and looks to have a major chance here, one for the list.
Tedburrow Still a class act on his day but appreciated the drop in class to get off the mark for the season over course and distance in July, and may struggle back in this company.
Three Points Tough and consistent performer, who has been knocking on the door in Group company of late and deserves to win a big prize however, the ground may blunt his front running style and he may set the race up for something else.
Minardi (USA) Connections have struggled to find his ideal trip since he finished fourth in the 2,000 Guineas, but has plenty of speed and no runner from this stable can be safely ruled out, one to consider.
Orientor Should go well on the ground and has enjoyed a marvelous season, but the balance of from gives him a little to find.
Pipalong (IRE) Needs very little introduction and is a credit to connections however she needs to prove she has no ill-effects following a lack-lustre effort in the Nunthorpe at York last time. However the recent rains have boosted her claims of winning this for the second year running and she could well go close if on song.
Summerhill Parkes Open to any amount of improvement, but this is a very stiff task on only her fourth racecourse appearance, and although she won a Listed event over course and distance in June, her ability to handle softer going must be taken on trust.
