      Verdict

      Barolo Top finished fifth on his debut at York, well ahead of today's rival Art Dzeko, and should improve but this can go to a newcomer. Brasingaman Espee and Elammato make no appeal on breeding but Elkhart should be noted in the betting on his racecourse debut for a yard that can get them ready. However, connections forked out 70,000gns for WOLF SPIRIT at the sales in April and, considering his entry in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar, Kevin Ryan's charge may just be up to winning this at the first time of asking.
