In depth
Verdict
A small but competitive field goes to post for this stayers hurdle and the principals look to be Sh Boom, Royal Rosa and Turtle Soup, and we will side with Royal Rosa. The gelding who is the most expensive horse to be sold at a public auction was a good bumper horse in his native Ireland and made a pleasing debut over hurdles at Hexham when defeating Case Of Poteen with plenty in hand. This is a lot tougher, however he is taken to continue on the upward grade with conditions in his favour and in receipt of four pounds from Sh Boom. The last named rates the main danger he showed improved form when stepped back up to this trip when defeating Crystal D'Ainay and he will not be far away. Turtle Soup won well a couple of runs ago but was let down by his jumping last time, he will need to improve in that department if he is to trouble the principals. Of the remainder The French Furze is better over a shorter trip while Crazy Horse has looked a shadow of his former self of late so the vote goes to Royal Rosa.
