Verdict

ARGENT KNIGHT gets the nod on account of his victory over today's trip at Nottingham last month. He found the progressive Lion Beacon too good at Sandown last time but gets another chance in this given Good Evans struggled over today's distance last time and Sioux Chieftain was beaten over 1m4f at York having won over a shorter trip before that. Grendisar looks likely to stay the longer trip on the back of a victory at Kempton but Sizzler was well beaten on his handicap bow albeit in better company, and Ambleside has struggled off today's mark since scoring at Beverley in April.
