This has lost a bit of its shine with the defection of Goshen but it will be interesting to see how French raider Rockadenn fares as he’s won his last four at Cagnes-sur-mer. Sir Psycho left previous form behind when beating an odd-on favourite by a wide margin at Exeter, though it may not pay to take the form too literally. It was probably a sub-standard Grade 2 at Cheltenham in which GEROLAMO CARDANO finished third but he did finish ahead of two previous winners and was beaten less than three lengths. Wetherby runner-up Dehradun also remains unexposed but The Pink'n has had his limitations exposed.

Gerolamo Cardano 5-1 (11-0) Held up, went 3rd from the 3rd, challenged 2 out, baulked before last, soon switched left, hung left flat, plugged on, 3rd of 6, 2 3/4l behind Galahad Quest (11-0) at Cheltenham 2m 1f (1) sft in Jan.
The Pink'n 7-1 (11-4) Tracked leaders, went 2nd 4th, mistake 3 out, switched right after 2 out, no impression on winner flat, kept on, 2nd of 7, 2 1/4l behind Blacko (11-4) at Warwick 2m (4) sft in Jan.
