Carnivore gets the vote in a competitive opener with No Grouse and Le Chiffre rated as the main dangers. The selection hails from a yard in good form and he scored at Musselburgh last time when beating Bandos over today's trip. He seemed to win with a little in hand that day and with conditions again in his favour he gets the vote. No Grouse was a fair third behind Blue Tomato over 6f on this track last time. He was doing his best work at the finish that day so the extra furlong should suit and there is no doubt he is well-treated at present. Le Chiffre is from a stable in good form and he is interesting as he has had his fair share of problems. However, he seemed to leave those behind when scoring at Wolverhampton last time and although this is tougher, there may be more to come. Takes Tutu is a course and distance winner but he is better over a longer trip these days and for the winner we are happy to stick with Carnivore.
