In depth

Verdict

Albertas Run is confidently preferred to Vicario and Green' N' Gold. Albertas Run has the best form on the board and if reproducing his victory over Shambles, it looks impossible to oppose the Trevor Hemmings owned five-year-old. Vicario handles the soft going and has few worries in relation to trip. He would need to improve on a second to Ever Special in order to win this. Green 'N' Gold has had problems in the past but is an honest type who is capable of running well if not feeling any training troubles. On Y Va handles the going perfectly well although interest is diminished by the woeful run of Richard Philips stable. Ex-Hen Knight inmate, One Nation, showed little on return from absence and is best watched. Chef Tartare never quite lived up to the expectations put of him when trained by Paul Nicholls. Cartmel specialist Peter's Imp might find this trip a little too testing. Alberta's Run looks progressive enough and secures the nomination.
