Verdict
Only three runners but almost certainly a fascinating tactical affair in prospect as none of the trio has made the running hitherto. Moreover, it's anyone's guess how much Vital Evidence and Venue will improve for their respective maiden successes, both of which were achieved with a degree of heavy weather. Vital Evidence was first off the bridle when responding to Ryan Moore's drive to secure Sandown success whilst Venue was green and pushed along early before coming with a late run to mow down Thouwra at Salisbury. Both should appreciate the longer trip but VITAL EVIDENCE appeals as having the greater scope for improvement. Duke Of Perth gained a deserved success when driven out to score at Bath last time and is more battle-hardened than his opponents but may just lack the scope of the selection.
