Verdict

Pure Excellence looks best in at the weights and was third over this trip at Doncaster last month. She wasn't beaten far in the Two-Year-Old Trophy on soft ground at Redcar last time but we're prepared to take a chance that HAY DUDE will find the necessary improvement to edge her out. Elaine Burke's colt was unfancied on his debut over 7f at Ayr but ran out a convincing winner and almost certainly has more to offer. Exzachary improved in a hood at Hamilton but has much more on his plate here and the headgear would need to work a second time while Bravo Youmzain keeps finding one too good, though has been tackling some decent juveniles over 6f. Fat Gary was last of four at Leicester on Monday and this is equally competitive.
