Verdict

Tim Easterby's Doe Nal Rua was an easy winner over 3m2f at Catterick when last seen in March and still looks feasibly well treated off a 9lb higher mark so is preferred to Gatorade and Garolsa. The last mentioned is a consistent performer and should be thereabouts but may be a shade high in the weights. He makes more appeal than either Ebony Light or Jungle Jinks at the top end of the handicap, who have both dropped in the weights but have given little sign of encouragement of late. The eight-year-old Iverain normally needs a run or two to put him straight so is probably best watched and of more interest may be Gatorade who is 3lbs higher than when winning at Carlisle earlier this month. However, the second that day was the exposed 14-year-old Weaver George so the form may not amount to a great deal. Master Ride won first time out last season and would be of interest, particularly if the market spoke in his favour, but preference is for Nal Rua who is taken to make a winning return.
