      Verdict

      Kentucky Bluegrass was due to make his hat-trick attempt in the 7.15 at Pontefract last night so that result should be monitored. Newcastle debut winner Elvenia drops markedly in class after running in Listed company at Epsom but ROYAL DRESS could be the one to beat in a competitive little handicap. She made a successful reappearance on soft ground at Doncaster and has continued in good form, chasing home Frankness on much faster ground at Goodwood last time. Snuggle is just a pound higher than when scoring on soft ground at Windsor and is greatly respected.
