In depth

Verdict

These veterans' handicaps are notoriously difficult to unravel. Quito Du Tresor has been placed twice at Musselburgh recent but today's trip will stretch his stamina. Whiskey Ridge and Fiddlers Reel won't find it easy returning from lengthy lay-offs but Leicester second Lord Landen is back on a winning mark and should be thereabouts while Fine Parchment is thrown in on his best form, though recent efforts suggest he's not the force of old. MR SYNTAX will have needed last month's run at Wetherby and has his ground and trip today. He can record a first victory for four years here with Listen Boy generally much better when there is plenty of give underfoot.
