Verdict

Only a neck separated Gathering Power and Aetna in the Duke Of York 10 days ago but Eddie Lynam's mare is 3lb better off here and back in the right grade - she looks sure to be in the firing-line. Lastuce had Mu'ajiza, stablemate Katawi and Perfect Blessings behind when third at Nottingham. That was a decent effort as she missed the break and Chris Wall's mare goes on the short-list along with Musicora, who is probably best over this trip, and improving handicapper Divine. INTERCEPTION was beaten a length by Al Thakhira at Ascot in October but is weighted to take her revenge and she'll be suited by the likely strong pace in this. David Lanigan's five-year-old was very progressive last year and may capable of further improvement. Explosive Lady gets a 9lb weight-for-age allowance but still faces a stiff task.
