Verdict

Ballinsker easily won a point-to-point in January and made all for an easy victory on his hurdling debut at Ludlow last month. Calva D'Auge didn't win in six starts over hurdles in France but looked happy on heavy going on his debut for Paul Nicholls at Plumpton and there's more to come. THEBANNERKINGREBEL looked a smart prospect when completing a double at Warwick and Newton Abbot and would have made it three victories but for a last-flight mishap at Wetherby and can get back on the winning trail. Thor De Cerisy was only headed close home at Uttoxeter after a mistake at the last but Torn And Frayed looked suited by further when just failing to get up over 2m5f at Warwick. Young Lieutenant made most until caught on the run-in at Newbury and is certain to come on for the run while Listed bumper and Huntingdon hurdles winner Glory And Fortune missed a race at Ascot yesterday for this.
