Verdict
WALDKONIG was odds-on for his reappearance in a Listed race at Newmarket but was no match for impressive stablemate Mishriff and eventually lost second spot. However another stable companion, Cherokee Trail, was a further four lengths away and he ran a cracking race in the Britannia Handicap at Ascot last week. Highest Ground is the only conceivable danger but his victory at Leicester in September has sent out mixed messages and he’s not raced since.
