Verdict

Both Sumner Beach and Dagonet won maiden races last year and Dalton is a more recent maiden winner having scored at Ayr on his reappearance. All three go handicapping for the first time today. The penalised El Hombre romped home at Hamilton last time but was second to BURRISHOOLE ABBEY (NAP) at Ayr before that. The latter looks to have every chance on that form and is preferred to recent Pontefract scorer Suitcase 'n' Taxi while Ashwaq and Batten The Hatches are unexposed types capable of better.
