In depth

Verdict

A competitive field goes to post for the first division of the maiden and the principals look to be Tipu Sultan, Radiant Energy and Sewmore Character and we will take a chance on Tipu Sultan. The colt from the Ed Dunlop yard was a good second on his debut this season behind National Pride and given normal improvement he will be hard to beat. Radiant Energy rates the main danger she was a good second last time out and gave the impression she would be suited by more cut in the ground. However she does not have the scope of the selection so for that reason she is opposed on this occasion. Sewmore Character would have a chance on his best form but he was a very disappointing favourite at this track last time and is becoming hard to win with. Of the remainder Silent Thunder is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with the more experienced Tipu Sultan.
