Macho Pride dropped a heavy hint last time out and having won here off a 7lb higher mark in the past, Ben Haslam’s charge has plenty to like about him tonight. MANIGORDO may have top weight though it’s worth remembering he finished close up in the Great St Wilfrid last year off an 8lb higher mark so this opportunity is a realistic one. William Jarvis has just the one runner at the meeting so Beauty Choice is worth a market check. Helvetian couldn’t follow up a recent win at Wetherby but Cieren Fallon has to rate as a highly positive jockey booking all the same. Powerallied has been given a change of scenery.
