In depth

Formwatch

Majestic Bay (IRE) Landed similar event over C&D off 4lb lower mark last term; ran well in defeat latest and handles these conditions but faces no easy task under topweight.

Nowell House Won Newmarket handicap on soft ground in April (now 4lb higher); should go well despite absence.

Dancing Bay Loves the mud and is beginning to look fairly treated but may still find one or two too good here.

Little Acorn Difficult to fancy after a long absence.

Cool Investment (IRE) Handles these conditions well and dropping down to a very lenient mark but has been out of form this term and returns from absence.

Little Pippin Best in mud but has a long losing sequence to overcome here.

High Barn Makes belated seasonal return and has clearly had his problems; lightly raced and open to improvement but may need this.

Rudder Highly regarded by connections earlier this season but has proved disappointing.

Conquestadora Lightly raced and improving for step up in trip; 5lb higher than latest win but handles soft ground and entitled to progress further; every chance.

Gumption Arguably showed best form on heavy latest and will be better over this trip; one to note.

Litzinsky Best form when the mud is flying so latest effort best ignored and now just 5lb higher than when impressive winner here penultimate; sure to go well.

Irish Blessing (USA) Irish maiden winner on the Flat who failed to take to hurdling latest; interesting on return to the level but not certain to appreciate ground this testing.

Lucille (IRE) Beautifully bred (full sister to Arc runner-up Leggera and also related to the smart Lucido) but has shown only limited ability on the track to date; others preferred.

Absinther Closely weighted with Sitara on Folkestone form last month; handles testing ground and could go well at a fair price.

Sitara Well related filly who can improve further but ability to handle heavy ground is in question.

Argamia (GER) In good heart after all-weather win latest and successful in mud earlier in season (now 5lb higher); has more to do here.

Totem Dancer Faces no easy task carrying 5lb more than long handicap mark.

Loblite Leader (IRE) Hat trick bid will be halted by being 10lb out of weights proper.

Simple Ideals (USA) Hard to envisage her being involved at the finish from a stone out of weights.

Ashleigh Baker (IRE) Impossible task from 17lb out of the handicap.
