In depth
Verdict
Palua, Legatus and Teaatral look like the ones to concentrate on in this novices chase and the confident vote goes to Legatus. The six-year-old from the Martin Pipe yard was a good second on his only run to date behind Montys Lass. He is sure to have learnt from the experience, and given nominal improvement will be hard to beat. Palua rates the main danger and he defeated Alvino in good style last time out. However, that was on fast ground and it would be debatable if he was as effective on a softer surface if the rain arrives. Teaatral would win this easily if this were a hurdle race, but he showed signs of temperament last time and cannot be picked with any confidence. Follow the Flow and Fork Lightening are both open to improvement so could go well, but we are happy to side with the unexposed Legatus.
