In depth

Verdict

Battle Warning was a decent if one-paced stayer on the Flat. Having won over 2m2f on the level this trip could be on the sharp side for him though Richard Johnson looks a interesting jockey booking. Another Joker was too keen when upped in class last time and a return to this level could see him getting his first win he deserves though he would not want the ground too soft. Shoshoni Warrior is likely to be all the rage riding in the J P McManus colours and this six-year-old landed the odds when dead-heating in a bumper at Gowran Park last May. With his stable flying at present he is the TEAMtalk choice to make a winning debut over hurdles. Matrix showed little in bumpers last season but it was thought he may not have acclimatised from his journey from New Zealand. If enjoying himself in England he holds good each-way claims. No Collusion has the best bumper form of those on show and was far from disgraced on his hurdle debut at Chepstow. This track may suit him better and he will obviously have come on for that run.
