Verdict
Mandica, Supreme Tadgh and Lubinas are short-listed in this novices¿ handicap chase with Supreme Tadgh our pick to build on his recent good run at Newbury. He was bouncing back to form that day following two disappointing runs and had some useful animals behind him. He had looked a possible winner two out that day but didn¿t get home and this drop back in trip is sure to suit. He won a handicap-chase at Taunton off this mark earlier in the season and he is a confident choice to bounce back to winning ways. Others in with a chance include the Tom George-trained Mandica. He had looked a chaser with bags of potential when scoring at Uttoxeter last April but failed to shine after that and went hurdling. He now returns to the larger obstacles and it would be no surprise to see him run a big race here. Lubinas won a competitive handicap-chase at Huntingdon in January. He went up nine pounds for that win and would appear to in the handicapper¿s grip as he has been well held in his last three races. Supreme Tadgh is a confident selection in this novices¿- handicap chase.
