In depth

Verdict

SIR WINSTON is taken to get the better of Syncopated Rhythm and Rapid Increase et al. The selection's form received a boost when the Newton Abbot runner up went on to fill the same position in the Devon National on his next start and there should be more to come from Victor Dartnall's runner. He is 9lbs higher but his talented rider claims 7lbs and he's open to plenty of improvement now that he's found some form. Rapid Increase takes a big step up in trip and isn't guaranteed to see it out but he's well related and would have live claims in a modest race if he improves for this stiffer test. Incentivise ran a fair race on his sole start over fences last term and could figure as could strong stayer Lady Samantha who makes her chase bow sporting a combination of aids. Shaking Hands was a fortunate winner at Uttoxeter but is open to more improvement than Syncopated Rhythm who has a good record when fresh and stays well. There are plenty in with chances therefore but Sir Winston may be able to come out on top again.
