In depth

Verdict

Spock was 12lb out of the handicap over a longer trip here last month but made all and is effectively only 2lb higher. BORN TO SIZE changed hands for £35,000 after winning a beginners’ chase at Thurles in October. The second has won twice since and, though he makes his debut for Richard Woollacott today, the six-year-old has the potential to be better than these. Ratify wound the clock back when bolting up in an amateur riders’ race at Wincanton but the veteran could have done without an 8lb rise. Looks Like Power usually runs his race while Yorgonnahearmeroar won over hurdles here just under a year ago, though still has something to learn about jumping fences. Ckalco Des Loges probably needs to improve on a third at Huntingdon in October but knows where the winning post is and can’t be ignored.
