In depth

Verdict

LOCAL PRESENT's sole success over fences came when partnered by A. P. McCoy and the partnership look capable of maintaining their one hundred per cent record. Ron Hodges' gelding has proved to be remarkably consistent which has been of no help to his handicap mark which is 7lbs higher than last time and 16lbs higher than when successful at Fontwell but his consistency could be enough to see him lift this prize. Hoof It Harry needs to bounce back from a poor run when gambled on, Indian Pipe Dream drops markedly in grade but has a little to prove in terms of form as does Dunkelly Castle who will need to show improved form on his second start over fences if he's to defy the handicapper. Buailteoir would have claims if back to the form that saw him win readily at Stratford whilst Tucumcari's two chase runs have not been devoid of promise.
