    Verdict

This is wide open, and the market should be watched for any support for the quartet having their first go over hurdles, but we'll side with moderate experience and tentatively put up LEVANTINE as a selection, heading the shortlist which also includes Civil Servant and Alwaysablue. Mike Lurcock's gelding was fourth last time out earlier in the month on his first run in six months. If coming on for that outing, he may be good enough. It''s a poor race though with more negatives than positives about them. He's the only one with an official hurdling mark, albeit that fourth was his best effort in eight runs, he's the oldest in the field and among the top weights. Civil Servant has been far from spectacular in the three runs to date he's completed, and was brought down at the first last time out. Alwaysablue attempted to make all last time out at Bangor in a similar contest but finished fourth, but faster going here may help. Mr Rev, Cate Washington, veras Joy and Oops Another Act all try jumping for the first time, so any support might be encouraging. It's not a race to get heavily involved in, but it could go the way of Levantine.
