Verdict
Kercabellec was a long way out of the handicap when ending a four-year barren spell at Huntingdon last week so a 7lb penalty shouldn't be an inconvenience. But whether the 13-year-old will repeat that effort here is another matter. Jack's Lad has struggled since scoring at Folkestone in December and though Mister Watzisname would make short of work of these if this was a hurdle race, his form over fences leaves much to be desired so preference is for CHORD. Simon Earle's charge can be forgiven his run on heavy ground at Leicester after a break and is only a pound higher than when scoring at Plumpton in the autumn.
