Verdict
Heros De Romay did well to make a winning debut at Exeter as he was very green. The well-beaten fourth has since franked the form but LUMP SUM also looked a nice prospect when scoring at Bangor in the autumn and his yard sent out the winner of this 12 months ago. Spirits Bay has a first and a third at Chepstow to his name while Damarta is a likely improver in the headgear. Stop Loss, a half-brother to three winners including the smart Ballynagour, is a newcomer worth a market check.
