In depth

Verdict

FRENCH TIES landed a gamble at Sedgefield and may be able to supplement those gains by getting the better of Quick Live and Caheerloch amongst others. The selection is turned out quickly under a penalty following his maiden success at Sedgefield where he landed a few hefty bets in the process. It remains to be seen how the quick turn around affects him whilst he faces a significant drop back in trip but he won well enough to think that he can follow up as the field where well strung out behind. Quick Live is related to a winner of a staying hurdle and he caught the eye staying on strongly over two miles at Leicester; the winner has won again since, his yard is continuing to fire in the winners and he can be expected to go close. Caheerloch has more to prove but he's unexposed and could improve for this longer trip; the market suggested that more was expected from him last time and he deserves a place on the short-list. Plenty Of Chat, Monsieur Cadou, Diamond Supreme and The Disengager are all unexposed and worth monitoring in the market as all make some appeal but we're going to take French Ties to record back to back successes.
