In depth

Verdict

Just The Man has had a run on the Flat since third at Kempton in November. Maninsane would have placed at Doncaster last time had he not fallen at the last so has to go on the shortlist but Kerry Lee gets plenty of winners around here and BLACK POPPY was second at Kempton on Boxing Day behind a winner who was just beaten off a mark of 130 earlier at Cheltenham. The six-year-old runs off 108 here and has plenty of scope. Gambie Tiep was having a first run for Robert Walford when fourth at Wincanton and can only improve.
