In depth

Verdict

VERTIGE DORE, a winner of a bumper and two hurdles, is a full brother to a winner over fences in France. He's sure to have been well schooled over the larger obstacles and can make a winning debut. Khorun and Manger Hanagement have already won over fences at Perth but have more on their plate here under a penalty, but Arkrose was knocking on the door earlier in the summer and is worth a second look despite returning from a break. Sam Hall was beaten a long way at Hexham in June and hasn't raced since and it will be a surprise if he's improved enough to take a hand in the finish here.
