Bobowen would have won this in a canter a couple of years ago but his form has tailed off dramatically in recent times and he usually runs over fences. This is a big drop in grade from his latest start at Aintree but blinkers would have to reignite his enthusiasm for him to get back to winning ways. KING OF STRINGS is still a maiden over hurdles but has won a bumper and is another eased in grade today. He didn't run badly when fourth at Market Rasen last month and, with the going in his favour, can finally open his account over timber here.
