In depth

Verdict

Dr Hooves has finished second in three of his five career starts, including on his hurdles debut at Musselburgh. Any improvement on that will make him tough to beat but FOR THREE has more experience over timber and that could be the deciding factor today with Brian Hughes’ presence in the saddle a further plus. Bobndave is probably improving but only slowly and he shapes as though a longer trip wouldn’t come amiss. Mister Manduro had decent staying form on the Flat for Mark Johnston but makes his hurdling debut after a long break having changed stables again.
