Verdict

Blazing Tom has won 13 times between the flags, including his last eight. But he is an 11-year-old and has only placed once in nine previous runs under Rules. MATTS COMMISSION found only the useful Dr Kananga too good when sent off favourite in this last year. There is nothing of the latter’s ability in the race this year so Jack Teal’s charge can recoup losses. The six-year-old Ask To Dance and Tom Cody can’t be ignored, especially if the market speaks in their favour.
