Verdict
Another tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies and the principals look to be Joe Di Capo, Seasquill, and Hallrule, and the vote goes to the last named. The selection has been in good form of late and won well last time out when defeating Red Perk and although he is rising in the weights he still looks to have scope for improvement and he is taken to win again. Joe Di Capo rates the main danger he is on a fair mark and a reproduction of his latest fourth behind On The Luce would give him definite place claims.Seasquill is another that could go well but although she travels well in her races she finds little off the bridle and for that reason she is opposed. Black Smoke won well last time out when defeating Mid Summer Lark but that was in a hunter chase and this looks more competitive. Of the remainder Middleway has the ability to go close but is prone to jumping errors and for the winner we return to Hallrule.
